Solstice Poem
Solstice Poem by Johanna Jordan
Solstice Meditation
become rock and endure the night
the stillness the cracking cold
become rock and suffer the soft
yearnings the litanies the prayers
become rock and welcome the sacrifice
become grass and tirelessly grow
be cut down and grow again
become grass wait for rain
become grass and know
the divine cycle
all the places on the wheel
become grass and be eaten
become seed and hide in the dark
husband strength and food
become seed and ready yourself
for bloom
